STORIES OF JEWISH RESISTANCE
From the Maccabees and their fight against Hellenistic oppressors, to Crypto-Jews who secretly practiced Judaism in medieval Spain, to Jewish Partisan forces in Nazi Occupied Europe, to protests by Jewish Progressive Millennials today, this course will focus on religious, military, literary, and political forms of Jewish resistance over the last two thousand years.
